outfit inspiration
I am looking to change up my wardrobe to be more timeless. I find most of my clothes to feel not that great to wear. My skin feels awful. I feel awful. I'm just not that into my clothes.

I think I am over the idea that I need to feel uncomfortable to look nice. I have some of the worst sensory issues with my own clothing, and I want nothing more than to have a wardrobe that is so comfortable without being straight pjs.
I love the look of big pants that still have some structure to them. I also own some fun socks, and I'd love to show them off.
This look is pretty easy to achieve with thrifting and creating.

things found on pinterest; exactly recreating or buying the exact thing isn't the goal. these pieces just inspire me and I want something like them in my wardrobe
sweaters
I'm really into these roll neck sweaters. Good sweaters do not come cheap. I would look around thrift stores for them, but I may need to learn how to knit to achieve this sort of look.
I do already own a couple cableknit sweaters. I just need some oversized, single-color sweaters.
vests
I own one vest, and it is a leather vest. I want some vest shirts and knit vests to wear over button ups. The vest shirts could be worn on their own in warmer weather.
I love the green vest the most. I may have to make something like that.
bottoms
I want to sew some barrel-leg, cropped pants with fun plaid patterns.
For shorts, I like outdoor wear brand shorts like Patagonia Baggies.
Not pictured but liked are long skirts that are kind of cargo like. It's hard to describe.
tops
I REALLY want to make a quilted jacket. I love the idea of a giant quilted jacket.
I also like this specific boxy shirt. Something about it and the collar being a different color. Perfect.
accessories
I own many accessories, so I want to limit the accessories I make or get. I do want to knit my own socks or buy more nice wool socks. I also like this sort of tie thing. I probably would acheive that look with the bandanas I already own.
materials, patterns, + colors
I am not gonna limit myself to these colors only, but I want these to come up in my clothes here and there. I love love love the blue and the lighter green togther.
For materials, I want to use brown leather, wool, linen, and cotton.
For patterns, I like the idea of minimal patterns. Maybe some stripes and plaid, but very simple. Would we count quilting to be a pattern or texture?

I already own these two hats that really fit the vibe. I super want to wear my stormy kromer more often.

Not pictured is a small brown messenger bag and a topo designs hip pack. I own this curlworks bag and the delfonics pouch.
bottoms
I have these gingham pants, duluth trading lined jeans, and dickies overalls. What I really want is to load up on a bunch of pants whether I thrift them or make them. I definitely think I will thrift jeans.
shoes
These two shoes are in my collection along with some iron rangers, hiking boots, and bogs rain boots.
patterns to make pieces
tops + vests
I have so many tees already. I am also intimidated by knitting or crocheting my own sweater so I'd like to start with a vest. I also want to make an applique quilted vest.
For shirts, I want to make these really simple sleeveless shirts. I love the boxy look.
bottoms
So many of the sewing patterns I like are from matchy matchy sewing club. The kite pants and weekend cchoe pants (+ shorts version) are like my dream pants. They have a version of the kite pants made with quilted material. I do want a pair of quilted pants, but only one pair. I also like how their patterns allow for scrap usage and color blocking.
I'll thrift some jeans maybe one other pair of pants that I will alter then sew the rest. I'll use whatever fabric is left after to make shorts. Shorts aren't a priority now that it is getting colder outside though.

shoes
These three shoes are the only things I really, really want. Sure, call me basic for wanting the birks, but they are comfortable and remember, comfort is what I am seeking.
I also want a pair of chucks. Specifically high tops.
Lastly, I found these nike p6000s at the discount dick's store. They're sort of the keen jaspers without being the poser approach shoes. I feel in love with them, and I am desperate to have them or sneakers very similar. The colors are just PERFECT.
socks
A whole section for some damn socks. I actually want to start getting and making nice socks. Specifically, darn tough socks. They have a lifetime warranty and are nice socks. I have one pair that were gifted to me. I love them. They come out with fun cute ones all the time.
